Torben and Marcelo Win Again

 

Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira won yesterday, without having to race the last race, the South American Championships held on the Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro. Torben and Marcelo won three races and finished second on the two last races. With these results they finished the regatta with 5 points. They will receive R$ 5,000.00 for winning the title.

Alan Adler and Rodrigo Meireles finished second with 10 points and will receive R$ 3,000.00. The last race will take place today and them we will know who is going to take the third place prize of R$ 2,000.00. Robert Scheidt/Bruno Prada (18 points), John King/Daniel Santiago (19 points) and Daniel Wilcox/Ícaro Seger (25 points) are the contenders. Torben/Marcelo and Alan/Rodrigo won't race the last race. 27 boats are racing the South Americnas.
